Note: This integration guide is for Blitzit 3.0, currently available to members of our Discord community. Some features shown in this guide may not be available in the current public version 2.6.69 of Blitzit.
The Blitzit GitHub integration turns issues from your repository into actionable tasks in Blitzit, so you can track engineering work without switching tabs.
Setting up Integration
Open the Apps icon in Blitzit and select GitHub Issues.
Log in to GitHub and authorize Blitzit to access the repository you choose.
Confirm the repository. It appears with a note that only issues are imported and pull requests are never imported.
Use Update at any time to change which repository is linked.
Integration Settings
Auto Sync: Import issue changes from GitHub as they happen.
Delete Sync: Unlink tasks whose issue is deleted or moved to another repo.
Only My Issues: Skip issues assigned to someone else.
Use Milestone Dates: Schedule issues by their milestone due date. GitHub issues have no date of their
own, so this is read only. Changing the date here never moves the milestone.
Troubleshooting
If an issue has no date in Blitzit, check that it belongs to a milestone and that Use Milestone Dates is turned on.
A pull request will never show up as a task. Only issues are imported.
If an issue is missing, check whether Only My Issues is on.
