Hi, I’m Omar — co-founder and CEO of Blitzit.
If this isn’t your first time seeing us, welcome back. If it is, I’m really glad you’re here.

Blitzit has just gone through the biggest redesign in its short history.
A refreshed interface, a more tactile timer, smoother Blitz mode, mobile apps, AI, improved integrations, session tracking, and a clearer vision of where we’re going next.

This is Blitzit, redesigned for more flow. And now AI powered.

Where Blitzit really started

Blitzit didn’t start as a business plan. It started as a coping mechanism.

Back in 2022, my first startup, Glorify, was going through a really hard time. I was dealing with investor pressure, uncertainty, and the mental clutter of a long to-do list that never seemed to end.

At the same time, my second son had just been born.

If you’ve ever been in that fragile window with newborn at home, your partner recovering, work still screaming for your attention — you’ll know: your time collapses into tiny, stolen pockets.

In those pockets, late at night, while my wife and baby slept, I opened Figma and started sketching the tool I wished existed.

I didn’t want another project management system.
I already had Notion, ClickUp, Asana… and they were all brilliant at what they were built for: teams, documents, big-picture work.

But what I desperately needed was something different:
A tool that helped me actually do things.
A way to take all that digital clutter and turn it into one clear, focused list.
A side panel that could sit on my screen, ever-present but never overwhelming, with a single timer that said: “This is what you’re doing now.”

That tiny idea: a collapsible focus panel with a task timer, delightful completion moments, break reminders and Pomodoro, a simple backlog/week/today planning system — became the very first version of Blitzit.

When I showed it to a few friends, including Raunak (who would later become Blitzit’s co-founder and CTO), the reaction was the same: “I need this. We have to build it.”

And so we did.

Launching, listening, and learning
(this is where you came in)

We spent about six months building the first usable alpha. In November 2023 we went live on Product Hunt after a year of early access with a small, brave group of users.

What happened next changed everything.

The response from Product Hunt was overwhelming.
We secured 1000s of signups and crossed six figures in revenue faster than we imagined.

We then scaled paid acquisition. In a couple of months our our Discord community climbed to one of the top results for “productivity” servers.

We watched Blitzit quickly spread through social feeds, DMs, and recommendations.

And with that growth came something we asked for, and you delivered in full: feedback.

You told us what you loved:

  • The satisfaction of completing tasks

  • The focus you felt with the side panel always there

  • The joy of making productivity feel like a game, not a punishment

You also told us, very clearly, what was painful:

  • Integrations were too limited or took too long

  • Reporting wasn’t accurate enough

  • There was no mobile app

  • Some interactions (like our instant action bar) felt clunky or fiddly

  • Customisation, preferences, and personal rituals weren’t deep enough

We read everything.
We felt every pain point.
We knew we had to do more than “patch” Blitzit. We had to push it to the next chapter.

The challenge we faced — and how we solved it

One of the biggest lessons we learnt in 2023–24 was that we were moving too slowly on the things you needed most. Every integration required heavy, custom engineering, and building our mobile apps on top of the original backend made progress even slower. We realised the foundation we started with simply couldn’t support the Blitzit you were asking for. So in 2024, we made a hard but necessary decision: to pause feature work and rebuild our core with a unified Blitzit API. This new API now powers integrations, mobile apps, and future features with far more speed and stability — unblocking everything that comes next.

Where we are now: Blitzit, refreshed

That’s what this new version represents.

Blitzit Refreshed is the result of everything we’ve learnt from you over the past two years — and it’s just the beginning of where we’re headed.

Here’s what’s either available now or soon in beta:

🖥 A fully refreshed focus mode
A cleaner, more tactile interface from top to bottom.
A redesigned timer. Smoother Blitz mode. Clearer states for pause, overtime, and Pomodoro. Instant actions that are finally effortless to use and satisfying to click.

📱 Mobile apps (beta)
You can now add, manage, and blitz tasks on the go.
iOS via TestFlight. Android in beta.
Same essence of Blitzit — in your pocket.

🤖 Blitzy, our AI productivity assistant (beta)
You can talk or type naturally and Blitzy will:

  • Create tasks

  • Add notes and subtasks

  • Schedule work for you

  • Edit and find tasks

Soon, it will help prioritise your entire list and even understand your meeting context from voice notes so it can surface the right tasks at the right time.

⏱ Session tracking
We rebuilt how time is tracked.
Now you can see, edit, and add individual sessions — similar to tools like Toggl or Clockify — but fully integrated into Blitzit. This fixes a long-standing issue around reporting accuracy and gives you full control.

🔗 Stronger integrations (including Asana)
Since rebuilding our integrations layer using our new API.

  • Notion, ClickUp, and Google Calendar now sync more deeply and reliably

  • Asana is rolling out

  • Zapier, webhooks and more are on the horizon

All of this sits on top of the new design — a calmer, clearer dashboard with faster list switching, quick task creation, and one-click “Today” focus mode to hide everything except what you need to do right now.

Looking ahead: Blitzit and the 2026 vision

Blitzit has always been built for the kind of mind that grew up in the ’90s and beyond — raised on video games, on-demand everything, and a constant stream of dopamine.

We can’t change the world we grew up in.
But we can design tools that work with our brains instead of against them.

Looking towards 2026, our vision is to turn Blitzit into:

  • A full Blitz Mode Space — a beautiful, full-screen focus environment

  • A truly personal productivity system — themes, rituals, preferences that fit your rhythm

  • A home for intentional breaks, community-driven leaderboards, and focus music that nudges you into the right state, not out of it

  • An AI-enhanced companion that understands your patterns, your energy, and your workload — and helps you navigate your day accordingly

This is the world we’re building into.

A personal ask: join us on this next chapter

Building Blitzit has been one of the most intense, rewarding journeys of our lives.

If you’ve ever:

  • Signed up

  • Tried the app

  • Joined our Discord

  • Sent us feedback (positive or brutally honest)

…you’ve already helped shape what Blitzit is today.

Now, as we push into this next chapter and build towards our 2026 vision, we’re running one final Black Friday lifetime offer.

If you believe in what we’re building: a joyful, deeply personal productivity tool that truly supports the modern mind — then this is the best way to back us and lock in Blitzit for the long term.

Thank you for reading, for being here, and for even considering being part of this.

I can’t wait to show you what’s coming next.
